Mari Bastashevski is the principal engineer behind RESET initiative. She puts together the programme, oversees the application process, and curates the conversations between our mentors, a growing laboratory network, and all relevant communities and fora.
In addition to her work with RESET, Bastashevski divides her time between making art, writing, and research. Presently, she is engaged in a number of collaborative art and technology initiatives examining the historical nexus between technology, cultural, environmental and political violence, and the treatment and conceptualization of animals. She is an artist in (and out of) residency at Chateau D’Oiron and a past technology fellow at the ISP-Yale, and the Data & Society Institute NY. She has exhibited with Maison Populaire, Musée de l’Elysée, HKW Berlin, Art Souterrain, and has been published in The New York Times, Le Monde, e-flux, VICE and others.
